We were appointed by a national building consultancy practice after a successful competitive tender. The objective was to refurbish the box gutters on a terrace of industrial units and address internal defects caused by long-term water ingress, restoring the building to a robust and lettable condition.

The Brief
The client required a targeted refurbishment package that would:
Repair defective box gutters and return them to reliable operational condition
Install a durable gutter lining system with long-term performance guarantees
Carry out internal repairs and redecoration where water ingress had caused damage
Ensure safe roof access throughout the works with compliant temporary access solutions
Deliver all works efficiently across a large industrial footprint

The Works
• Repair and refurbishment of defective box gutters across the terrace
• Installation of Rooflock 18 EPDM gutter lining system (25-year product warranty)
• Internal repairs and full redecoration to areas affected by water ingress
• Erection of a full-height scaffold tower for safe roof access
• Installation of perimeter guard rails to provide safe movement across all roof areas

Outcome
The works successfully restored the gutter systems and internal finishes, significantly improving the building’s performance and appearance. With durable, warrantied gutter protection and refreshed interiors, the industrial units are now fully prepared for continued use with reduced risk of future water ingress.
